Building Connections

It never ceases to amaze me how important our interpersonal connections are.
Whether its in the office (relationships with co-workers or bosses), at home (with spouses and children) or in life (friends and family) - our successes and failures begin and end with our ability to maximize every enounter to its fullest potential. It's the great give and take of these moments that resonate with me time and again.
I am always reminded of this when I return home. After all, home is where the heart is, and I certainly leave mine behind every time I step on a plane or catch a train - though pursuing my passion by bringing the message of enhanced communication across the country - I always pine for my family, as well as my "home away from home" at the Body Language Institute (BLI).
After returning from an exilerating training in NYC with the wonderfully talented people at Full Picture (btw...what IS is about NYC - always so vibrant...I just come alive with inspiration there!) I am here this week fascilitating our BLI 102 class, and once again I am surrounded by an amazing group of people!
Of course, my staff is amazing...every single time, without fail, our programs go off without a hitch. They ROCK!
And then there are our students...man, what a phenomenal group. We always have many returning students, coming back to dive further into self-awareness, and stretch their skills in various arenas. They are soaking it in...learning things (and also tuning in to what they aleady know) that will help them achieve excellence in every aspect of their lives - learning to biuild those connections that become so important in our upward mobility in life.
This family that we have created at BLI...our students, our team, our supporters - its truly amazing. They blow me away each and every time with their committment to themselves, and everyone that surrounds them. It's never enough to soley help yourself - strengthen those connections and build others up - it comes back to you in spades.
Off for another wonderful afternoon with these amazing people! Can't wait to see what they do next!
