Over the past week I was able to connect with some AMAZING individuals!
I know they come to seminars to learn about The New Body Language, and sit through keynotes to uncover their potential for success...In short, they look to me as an educator, and I am happy to oblige.
But, I am consistently reminded how much I learn from each and every person I meet in return! It's the biggest reason why I love what I do - I am able to connect with people from all backgrounds, across industries, from all walks of life - and take away great lessons learned from their dreams, their experiences, their heartaches.
There are the single parents who struggle to fit it all in - the kids, the jobs, the LIFE - they amaze me with their dedication, compassion and resolve.
There are the blue-collar kids like me - who rise from fairly humble circumstances determined to leave this world a better place for having been in it.
There are the grandparents determined to maximize every moment they are given devoted to their friends and families, despite the devestating news doctors had last week.
The compassion and struggles of the people I meet at places like PRISM International or Toastmasters really inspire me in both my personal and professional lives. If you have ever wondered how I keep up the frantic pace, log all the miles in the sky, or continually find inspiration for new material, courses or talks - I promise you, it is not rocket science. I am contstantly inspired by the wants and needs of the people I meet. It's fasicnating to talk to people all day - discover what makes them tick...what inspires them...and use this insight to craft my message of education and empowerment to international audiences.
So keep 'em coming everyone...please, no matter how long the line - if you want to speak to me, I will wait until I have talked to THE LAST person! You will never see me jet out early, leaving people standing there. I am dedicated to meeting you all - for its YOU that have brought me to this amazing point - and it is from YOU that I will gather the inspiration that will impact another group of people...in another place and another time.
So, cheers to you all! Thank you for your honesty and your trust in me.
Off to Canada this week...will surely have some interesting tidbits from "north" of the border for you next week!
